Ensure schedule activities are properly coded in alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and integrated into project control systems for progress and forecasting analysis.
Establish the baseline CAPEX budget in EcoSys and implement a robust change management process to ensure CAPEX remains accurate and up to date through the detailed design and execution phases.
Monitor overall project performance—including cost, progress, and risk—against the plan, and provide clear, transparent reporting to project internal and external leadership.
Lead and support the project controls team for the assigned project(s), including cost controllers, planners/schedulers, estimators, and document controllers.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of accurate project reports.
Responsible for the conversion of multi-billion-dollar project estimates into detailed capital control budgets.
Prepare or support the preparation of periodic progress reports for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities using earned value management principles.
Manage scope changes by maintaining a scope change log/database and assess impacts against the control budget.
Support internal project excellence and operations reviews by preparing relevant analytics and reports.
Maintain and update project cost control systems and coding structures using standard Ausenco tools to monitor trends, scope changes, commitments, payments, forecasts, and budget variances.
Assist in the development of periodic cash flow forecasts and manpower reports.
Integrate scope changes and trends into the project schedule to maintain alignment between schedule and cost.
Reporting to the Regional Director, Project Controls, you will act as the primary point of contact for project controls on assigned project(s), ensuring all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance are effectively managed and communicated to both internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients.
Collaborate with the planning/scheduling team to develop and maintain project schedules for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases using Primavera P6, ensuring regular and accurate updates.
Develop, implement, and maintain project control procedures and processes tailored to the specific needs of the assigned project(s).

Business or Technical background with diploma / degree in Business or engineering or project management.
Strong and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Hexagon PPM Software (Ecosys, SDx, SMAT)
Strong conceptual and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good commercial acumen and with experience of interfacing with clients.
Experience of supervising other staff with the ability to mentor and coach less experienced project controls personnel.
15+ years’ experience in planning/cost control or project control on heavy industrial and mining, on studies and/or EPCM projects.
As this position requires significant amount of cooperation with other individuals excellent interpersonal and team playing skills are essential for success.
Working Knowledge of Scheduling Software – Primavera P6 & MS Project.
