Trainee Emissions Monitoring Technician

Description

• Working on diverse industrial sites including power plants, factories, and manufacturing facilities
• Develop expertise in an important environmental protection field
• Using specialised equipment to collect and analyse emissions samples
• Helping businesses ensure they're operating within environmental regulations
• Providing high quality MCERTS and UKAS accredited stack emissions testing
• Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for the client

Requirements

• An interest to develop a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analysing techniques
• Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
• A degree or equivalent in an environmental/scientific discipline
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel and undertake multi-day overnight stays when required
• Learning technical skills that are highly valued in the environmental protection sector
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Learn to use specialised MCERTS environmental monitoring equipment
• Prepared to work in varied outdoor industrial environments, including at height, which can be physically and mentally demanding.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
