As a Data Engineering Intern on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team, you will support the infrastructure that powers data‑driven decision‑making within QuadReal’s Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) function. You will help build, operate, and enhance a modern, reliable data platform so business users can access high‑quality, trusted data when needed, gaining hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, open‑source tools, and platform automation.
During the internship you will build and operate the next‑generation cloud data platform in Microsoft Fabric, create and manage data pipelines using tools like dltHub and Airflow, and automate core platform processes with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. You will support data‑quality and compliance frameworks, develop dashboards to monitor platform observability, and collaborate across teams to promote enterprise data governance and standardization.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an engineering, science, technology or mathematics program, possesses strong quantitative and analytical abilities, and is proficient in SQL, Python and data‑engineering concepts such as warehousing and ETL/ELT. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), dbt, Airflow, and CI/CD practices is an asset, along with problem‑solving skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
The firm is committed to providing co‑ops and interns with a supportive, engaging learning environment that develops skills and business acumen. Students can join speaker series, fireside chats, volunteer events and networking opportunities. To be eligible, candidates must be enrolled in a post‑secondary institution, returned to school after the term, and be part of an official co‑op program that requires a final work term for graduation.
QuadReal offers development‑focused leadership, a Student Mentorship Program, weekly speaker series and fireside chats, case competitions that encourage cross‑functional collaboration, and community‑oriented volunteering events. Interns also have the chance to build lasting industry and professional relationships.
The role pays $28 per hour, with compensation adjusted for skill, experience, education, market rates and internal equity. QuadReal values diverse experiences, encourages applicants whose skills do not perfectly match, and uses AI‑assisted screening alongside human review. Unsolicited resumes from agencies are not accepted, and reasonable accommodations are provided throughout the hiring process for applicants with disabilities.
