You will collaborate with controls, mechanical and process engineers to generate electrical requirements, create I/O lists, map components and define safety specifications. Designing and building electrical boxes—including layout, wiring and plumbing—is a core responsibility, as is supporting the existing equipment install base in Bloom Energy production and supplier sites.
- Design and develop R&D equipment, tools, and test fixtures for feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and process engineers to define electrical requirements, I/O lists, and safety specs.
- Design and assemble electrical boxes, including layout, wiring, and plumbing.
- Support existing equipment in production and supplier sites, handling troubleshooting, debugging, and feature requests.
- Work with operations and process engineering teams to scale equipment/tools for production volumes.
- Create detailed electrical and fluid schematics (DraftSight preferred) and maintain wiring, P&ID, and plumbing diagrams.
- Develop software for data acquisition and database interfaces (LabVIEW, NI, SQL).
- Apply vision‑system algorithms and 3D camera/sensor programming (Cognex, Keyence) where needed.
- Utilize metrology technologies (XRF, Eddy Current, 3D sensor, thermography) for in‑line inspection.
