In this role you will design and analyze waterlines, pumping and storage facilities, and sewer collection systems, prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and conduct system modeling and evaluation. You will support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and coordination of sub‑consultants, interface with state and local agencies, and lead meetings with project stakeholders. Collaboration with office management and other project managers to share resources, as well as ownership of projects from start to finish, are key components.
- Design and analyze waterline, pumping, storage facilities, and sewer collection systems
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resources projects
- Perform system modeling and evaluation
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub‑consultant coordination
- Interface with state and local agencies and conduct stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate resources with office management and other project managers
- Assist in proposal preparation, including scope, schedule, budget, and oral presentations
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Support other project managers in delivering high‑quality design projects and developing new client opportunities
Requirements

- Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
- Be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Prefer experience and relationships with municipalities, water agencies, tribes, and flood‑control agencies
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, 2D modeling, and related software
- Expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic software such as HEC‑1, HEC‑2, HEC‑RAS, Flow2D
- Demonstrate solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with clients and multidisciplinary team members
- Willingness to work on local projects or in work‑share with other offices
- Proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Minimum 2–4 years of water system, sewer collection, or hydraulics design experience
- Desirable experience managing technical staff and project teams
- Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
