Collaborate with Used Truck Sales Manager to manage and assess used truck inventory throughout Holt Truck dealership locations
Acquire used truck inventory through various markets to include auctions and customers
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladder
Notifies the Used Truck Sales Manager of anticipated delivery of purchases
Responsible for selling all trucks purchased for wholesale
Appraise, price, and test drive (as-needed) trucks, trades, or resale opportunities along with Used Truck Sales Manager
Negotiates equipment pricing with customers when purchasing used equipment for inventory
Reviews and authorizes purchases; determines appropriate method of purchase (i.e. informal bids, formal bids, negotiated contracts or other procedures)
Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Manages wholesaling of aged inventory and unwanted trades
Develops and maintains outside sources (wholesalers and retailers) for both buying and selling trucks

Class B CDL License required, Class A CDL License preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention
Excellent oral and written communication skill to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups
Excellent auction and bidding experience
Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
Knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen
Demonstrated knowledge of sales and negotiating techniques
Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places
Minimum of 5 years of experience required with buying from an equipment auction house, 10 years’ experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years job-related experience required, 10 years’ experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
Effective influencing skills which includes motivating and developing new and existing customers
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
Ability to diagnose basic truck repairs
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
