Conduct market research and assess potential project locations based on wind resource, infrastructure availability, and regulatory landscape.
Obtain key statutory approvals and NOCs such as from the Airport Authority of India (AAI), Ministry of Defence (MoD), and other relevant bodies.
Evaluate risks associated with land acquisition and project development; recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and approvals related to land, forest, and environmental clearances.
Drive business development initiatives for Solar, Wind and Hybrid projects, including site identification, land acquisition and partnership development.
Lead and coordinate legal due diligence (DD) processes with internal and external legal teams to ensure clear and marketable land titles.
Manage project documentation, timelines, and coordination efforts to align with overall business objectives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Project Management to ensure project readiness and smooth handover for execution.
Liaise with government authorities, local agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and regulatory compliance.
Identify and engage with potential developers, aggregators, and land partners in key focus states to build a strong project pipeline.
Contribute to business strategy by identifying emerging opportunities and supporting project evaluation, feasibility studies, and financial modeling inputs.
Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, government departments, and local partners to support long-term business growth.
Support drafting, negotiation, and execution of Sale/Lease Deeds, MoUs, and other project-related agreements.

Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
Significant experience in land acquisition involving Revenue/Private/Forest Land exploring potential site acquisitions, preparing valuation reports for acquisition, and negotiating to acquire land.
Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
Proficiency in identifying suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
4-12 Years of hands-on experience in Land procurement/acquisition for renewable energy projects.
Familiarity with land acquisition processes, including procurement, leasing, easement, etc., for renewable power projects.
Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges in land acquisition and project development.
Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.
Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members, cross functional teams, and other stakeholders.
