  • Product and Solution Development: Contribute to the development and delivery of electrical and instrumentation design packages that meet client needs. Support the creation of design/construction documents, specifications, and reports. Implement design changes and integrate vendor data to develop accurate and coordinated deliverables.
  • Personal Capability Building: Enhance technical and professional capabilities through training, mentoring, and active participation in project meetings. Stay up to date with relevant software developments, codes (ISA/IEC/CSA), and industry best practices. Participate in assessment and development planning to strengthen design proficiency and maintain external accreditation where applicable.
  • Applications Software Maintenance: Develop and maintain detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D tools, ensuring compliance with CAD/BIM standards. Set up coordinated 3D models, 2D sheets, and drawing packages that meet project and client requirements, applying correct title blocks, symbology, layers, and naming conventions.
  • Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate advanced design software and tools to optimize drafting productivity and drawing quality. Adjust design workflows and modeling approaches to resolve complex inefficiencies in project execution. Support site walks and field measurements to ensure accuracy in design representation.
  • Design and Conceptualization: Prepare and produce multiple design concepts and prototypes for electrical and instrumentation systems. Utilize digital tools to create and refine drawings such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, cable/conduit schedules, termination panels, PLC/MCC layouts, and equipment location plans.
  • Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific engineering and design issues to identify effective solutions—technical or professional in nature. Collaborate with team members during design and coordination meetings to address drafting/modeling issues and implement redlines efficiently.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure adherence to GHD’s Health & Safety policies, client specifications, and applicable industry standards. Identify and report any instances of noncompliance within the team, escalating as necessary to maintain operational integrity and project quality.
  • Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct detailed quality checks and cross-verifications of design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Interpret feedback from redlines, design reviews, and client meetings to identify corrective actions and maintain the integrity of all issued deliverables. Prepare and manage submission packages (PDF/DWG/DGN/model exports) in line with document control procedures.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and organize project-related data using established tools, methods, and formats. Includes reviewing design inputs such as vendor cut-sheets, site markups, and as-built information. Perform independent analysis to support project documentation and ensure accuracy across EI&C deliverables.
