Manage the overall design of the project and quality control of the documents
Contribute to business development through proposal writing and Client engagement
Provide technical direction during the pre-design phase of the project including functional programming by preparing reports, sketches, and undertaking research
Communicate with the Client and subconsultants as necessary to support the project
Build client relationships through identification of market opportunities, client communications, preparation of proposals, and business development activities
Oversee the coordination of the project (drawings / design/ specs) the project team
Support coordination of the sub-consultants’ work
Assist with review and respond to RFPs and prepare project proposals
Together with the Client, manage the project schedule and ensure the project remains on time and deliverable dates are met
Establish and support the design vision of new projects and communicate the vision to the project team including sub-consultants
Contribute to FBM’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Ten (10) years or more relevant experience
Have strong time management and scheduling skills to successfully meet deadlines.
A variety of EFAP tools and online resources to support well-being are available to all employees.
Have a working knowledge in Revit and Bluebeam
Have excellent communication, presentation, and graphic communication skills
Have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office Suite.
Candidates will be a registered Architect who is licensed or able to be licensed in Nova Scotia or the province they reside in
Have excellent design and presentation skills and experience developing construction documents.
Have the ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
