What you would be doing

- Maintain maintenance and daily logs of equipment; and
- Communicate with Operations Supervisor/Property Management on building and tenant issues
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems and facilities. Complete tenant service calls such as changing lights, heating/cooling calls, minor plumbing, painting etc. in a professional manner
- Contact Suppliers, obtain quotes, order materials/ Supplies
- Oversee the appearance and safety of the property
- Operate Building Automation, Life safety, Company procurement programs and Security computer systems
- Project manage minor buildouts, mechanical replacements/upgrades or Capital Projects as needed
- Mentor Junior operators and train where necessary
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions/recommendations
- Move and lift heavy equipment and supplies
- Oversee contractors and ensure they abide by building guidelines, manage contracted services that are provided onsite

- Your computer and communications skills are above par.
- 5+ years of experience in building operations
- You completed your Operator Class 4 Certificate
- You’ve gained your experience in a commercial/office/retail environment
- Able to work in confined spaces
- You are familiar with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures
- You are proactive in finding problems and solving them
- Valid driver’s license
- Bending, twisting, crouching, climbing and reaching
