Maintain the dispatch board's accuracy at all times, ensuring it is complete with all the required information needed for sales and leadership awareness.
Conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are properly maintained and equipped.
Ensure and inspect order completeness and accuracy. Ensure order picker documentation is accurate, double checking the information.
Handle any unforeseen issues or emergencies that may arise during delivery, such as accidents, breakdowns, or delivery discrepancies.
Maintain shipping dock cleanliness, order, and safety both inside and outside of the building.
Serve as an escalated point of contact for customers with inquiries or concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to the transportation of goods.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks. Operate warehouse forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to support such effort.

Minimum 1+ year managing delivery driver schedules
Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Possess a proper and valid driver's license

Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.

Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively with a high attention to detail.
Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you must:
Know the laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles in general, and commercial motor vehicles subject to Department of Transportation regulations in particular.
Be at least 21 years old
Experienced dispatchers in commercial plumbing/industrial supply strongly preferred
Have experience planning and assigning delivery routes while optimizing resources.
