The Vice President, Land Acquisition will lead the identification, acquisition, entitlement, and development of properties that position the division for success. This remote‑first role involves managing land development activities, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring on‑time model openings while collaborating with peers on the Division Leadership Team.
The role requires overseeing forward planning and due diligence, working closely with land planners, engineers, and consultants to keep entitlements on schedule and under budget. It also involves preparing financial models and reports for the Senior Investment Committee, building a network of brokers, and staying current on local market trends.
Essential functions include daily reporting to the division office, supervising direct reports, using computer systems for data management, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. Physical demands involve occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and the ability to travel and operate a motor vehicle as needed.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred) and bring at least ten years of land acquisition, divestiture, and development experience, preferably with a production builder. Strong business acumen, customer focus, results‑driven mindset, and excellent communication skills are essential.
