The role requires expert-level knowledge of the assigned program areas, monitoring programs through field walkdowns, trending, and condition evaluation, and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. The engineer provides technical support for event investigations, troubleshooting, regulatory correspondence, and design modifications, while evaluating risks and developing mitigation plans. Ongoing compliance with nuclear safety, quality assurance, radiation protection, NRC regulations, ANSI/ANS standards, and ASME codes is essential.
Preferred candidates hold engineering degrees in welding, metallurgical, materials, or mechanical disciplines and possess working knowledge of ASME Sections III, VIII, IX, and XI. Experience with welded repairs in regulated environments and nuclear program ownership, particularly in ASME Section XI repair/replacement and in-service inspection, is desired. The position offers a salary range of $87,633 to $151,132, depending on grade and experience, and emphasizes a supportive, inclusive workplace culture.
