Requirements Manager Validation & Verification - Gateway

Description

• Develop and maintain the Requirements Verification and Validation Plan according to project standards and federal regulations.
• Create and update Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrices for all disciplines and project phases.
• Collaborate with design‑builders, contractors, and systems engineering teams to define verifiable requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Track verification and validation activities, gathering evidence for design and construction across stakeholders.
• Align test cases and procedures with project requirements and support testing and commissioning teams.
• Link safety and security hazards to design criteria, assist in safety certification, and add derived safety requirements to traceability matrices.
• Utilize requirements management tools such as Relatics, DOORS, or CompyPro to manage requirement status and traceability.
• Conduct requirement reviews, document verification results, and report gaps, risks, or non‑conformances.
• Produce quality and compliance dashboards and reports on V&V progress.
• Resolve requirement interpretation issues during testing phases.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of requirements engineering experience with a focus on V&V in infrastructure, transportation, or rail projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of FTA, FRA, and USDOT regulations related to rail system development and delivery.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (Genesys, Relatics, DOORS, ComplyPro).
• Strong understanding of the systems engineering V‑model and V&V integration.
• Experience supporting test and evaluation processes, mapping requirements to test cases.
• High attention to detail with strong documentation and data‑tracking capabilities.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate with technical teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Strong organizational skills for managing complex, multi‑disciplinary data.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CSEP, IREB, PMP.
• Preferred: Experience on federally‑overseen rail or tunnel projects and safety‑critical systems.
• Preferred: Familiarity with ISO 29148 or similar V&V standards.
