  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, producing financial statements and internal management reports
  • Supervise audits, tax filings, and compliance-related reporting across all business lines
  • Partner with the CFO to manage cash flow, financing activities, and capital planning
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Partner with leadership to shape the financial strategy and drive strong performance across all BECO entities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • CPA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax relevant to construction, real estate, and property management, with experience in developing creative tax strategies
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, consolidation accounting, budget planning, forecasting, cash management and HUD/FHA insured multifamily housing
  • Demonstrates a balance of confidence, initiative and humility — a professional who brings expertise to the table while remaining open to feedback and committed to collaborative teamwork
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership in a multi-entity, mid-sized company environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • High-impact leadership role with visibility across all divisions of a growing real estate and construction portfolio
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven experience with real estate investment, property management, and/or construction accounting
