  • Drive and embed the Quality Surveillance/Right 1st Time Programme within the project team and supply chain
  • Apply the requirements of the Subcontractor / Supplier Quality Requirements Specification, ensuring the product quality is given the highest priority to achieve Right 1st Time
  • Identify potential failures / symptoms that could lead to non conformances and apply preventive action
  • Lead or be part of the au ditor team for project audits on Costain and the supply chain
  • Manage the Inspection resource and be the decision authority when there is a disagreement between the Costain/Customer appointed Inspector and that of the subcontractor or supplier
  • Support the project to deliver the works right first time to the specified quality.
  • Assign Costain Hold, Witness and Review intervention points to subcontractor and supplier Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and manage their implementation, including the review and approval of the related Inspection & Test Reports (ITRs) and other associated Quality Records
  • Control all release of material and equipment from source and site construction activities, ensuring prior close out of non conformances, concession requests etc.
  • Support the Project Quality Manager with the promotion of bp NZT/NEP or H2T requirements, expectations, and needs throughout the project team and the supply chain
  • Support the Project quality manager implement the approved quality management system.

  • Technical/Quality Management qualification HNC or Equivalent.
  • Experience with quality auditing techniques and tools (e.g., ISO 19011).
  • Professional knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience of self-verification and oversight (SV&O) responsibilities covering both site and offsite activities to ensure compliance to contractual requirements
  • Experience of involvement in achieving mechanical completion on projects, up to pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of working with and monitoring the right first time (R1T) process from implementation throughout the project lifecycle for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pipelines and associated welding codes like BS 4515 and/or API 1104.
  • Previous experience of working as a senior pipeline inspector/engineer.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suit
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with engineering and procurement documentation and workflows.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in quality assurance within EPCm project environments.
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor.
