The position seeks an individual with at least seven years of relevant experience to join the Air Quality team as a Senior Air Quality Engineer or Scientist in the Calgary or Vancouver office; this posting reflects a currently available role.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering or science discipline, possess a solid understanding of Alberta and British Columbia air‑quality regulatory frameworks, and have several years of experience developing emission inventories and running dispersion models such as AERMOD and CALPUFF, especially for oil and gas, mining, and pulp‑and‑paper industries. Strong computer proficiency with engineering analytical tools and excellent technical liaison abilities with project teams, clients, and regulators are also required.
Additional assets include a P.Eng. designation, an advanced degree, knowledge of meteorological and mesoscale photochemical modelling, strong people and team skills, proven organizational and decision‑making capabilities, leadership/mentoring experience, meticulous attention to detail, persistence, practical problem‑solving, and occasional travel.
