Environmental Task Manager

Description

• Assist project managers in planning environmental assessment and remediation tasks
• Evaluate data to develop conceptual site models and delineate contamination extent
• Prepare, review, and write technical reports
• Train, coach, and mentor junior staff on consulting best practices
• Provide health and safety stewardship and serve as a safety mentor
• Monitor daily project finances and report budget status to the project manager
• Prepare cost estimates, establish project budgets, and evaluate subcontractor proposals
• Prepare subcontracts and coordinate subcontractor schedules, compliance, logistics, health, and safety
• Conduct up to 40% field work including drilling, sample collection, client meetings, and safety audits

Requirements

The company is hiring an Environmental Task Manager in Alberta, ideally a geologist, environmental scientist or engineer, for a full‑time role in environmental consulting. The manager will work with project managers on investigation, remediation and permitting projects, lead junior staff, coordinate resources, and participate in field activities as required.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science or related field with 4+ years experience
• Preferred: master's degree and professional license (e.g., P.Ag., P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Bio., P.Chem.)
