Ensure compliance with health & safety, industry standards, and internal procedures.
Contribute to rule development and research projects within defined parameters.
Deliver complex technical assessments and provide expert advice on structural matters including composites, multi-hulls and small craft.
Present technical deliverables to internal and external stakeholders, offering alternative solutions where appropriate.
Mentor junior colleagues and support knowledge transfer across the team.

Is able to self-manage and prioritize tasks towards achieving goals
Two to five year's industry experience or a PhD in a relevant subject
Is effective at solving problems, trouble-shooting and making timely decisions
Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
Experience in technical rule development or structural assessments is highly desirable.
Working towards Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Responds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone
A degree in engineering or physical sciences, or equivalent marine qualifications.
