MEP engineering, performance contracting, and zero‑energy/zero‑carbon building design firm.
For college students interested in engineering design for the built environment, CMTA offers a robust co‑op program for Mechanical, Electrical, and Architectural Engineering majors. Students can immerse themselves for one or more semesters in consulting engineering, building industry‑competitive skills in a hands‑on environment while working on a team and receiving training from Professional Engineers in AutoCAD and Revit. Co‑ops create real construction drawings for actual CMTA projects.
This role provides a unique opportunity for hands‑on training in mechanical, HVAC, and energy design. The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, works well both independently and within a team, and will learn how CMTA designs and implements mechanical systems and energy‑efficient measures. The position offers experience on challenging, complex MEP projects as an integral part of the design team.
The position is a full‑time, onsite role (40 hours per week) with a competitive hourly rate and eligibility for overtime. It is slated to start in May 2026 and run through the summer, with dates flexible to accommodate academic calendars. CMTA hopes hired co‑ops will complete multiple rotations and may be considered for full‑time employment after graduation.
Benefits include paid sick leave, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and reasonable accommodations for applicants who need assistance during the application or interview process. Candidates can request support by contacting the recruitment team.
When pay ranges are indicated, the final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic and market considerations, ensuring fair and competitive wages in compliance with salary transparency laws.
