Project Controls Coordinator

The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of project controls procedures, integration of cost and schedule functions, as well as quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for capital construction projects. Assigned to projects of more than $100 MM/year with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity.

• Assign priorities to complex, multiple, competing tasks by effectively prioritizing work activities. Establish and adjust priorities based on the department's objectives and the Company's strategic plan.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvement for project cost management.
• Widen and apply expertise by broadening alliances and working relationships with a broad cross-section of stakeholders, both within and beyond the Major Projects business unit.
• Lead and coordinate development and maintenance of project controls, cost deliverables in accordance with Company practices and policies, including but limited to.
• Collect inputs for project cost estimates, establish control budgets, conduct ongoing monitoring and review of incurred costs and commitments, forecast, variance, and earned value analysis, and cost reporting to various stakeholders
• Participate in project team, stakeholder, and vendor status meetings to stay informed of project changes to scope, cost, schedule, and progress.
• Establish and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure such that it facilitates project execution and cost control during project execution and fulfills other Company stakeholder requirements
• Prepare timely and accurate reports and presentations for and provide support to project management team members and stakeholders regarding the cost status of their respective project budgets, such as Cost Report and Cost Variance Analysis, Cash Flow Report and Variance Analysis, Schedule Variance Analysis, Project Change Management and Contingency, and Log Monthly Project Status Report
• Communicate and work effectively with a varying set of these stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Work closely with the project scheduler and field controls analyst to ensure alignment of processes to report progress, changes, highlights, and issues of engineering and construction.
• Engage the project stakeholders to review project costs, commitments, and forecasts.
• Liaise with the PMO, Capital Assets department, and other project stakeholders for project-related responsibilities.

• SQL experience in MS SQL Server and S/4 HANA
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally in a team environment;
• Familiarity with best management practices for project cost control;
• Possess an aptitude for successfully building relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers;
• Ability to understand and implement processes and practices for project cost control;
• Strong analytical skills; Knowledge and application of Earned Value Management;
• Specific knowledge and experience in project controls, cost processes related to midstream pipeline and facility projects;
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and to work independently with a reasonable level of supervision;
• Excellent organizational skills; Intermediate+ computer skills using Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel;
• A Project Management Professional credential (PMP) or related certification is nice to have, but not required.
• Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure;
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or another technical discipline or related field with a minimum of 5 to 10+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Detail-oriented and understands the importance of data reconciliation;
