  • Collaborate with external counsel on specialized matters such as permitting, real estate, and environmental regulations.
  • Support strategic initiatives, joint ventures, and M&A activity as needed.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including EPC, O&M, supply, construction, and PPA agreements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the development, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to support project lifecycles from origination through COD.
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to internal teams on matters related to project development, including land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, EPC, and offtake agreements.
  • Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and general business matters, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • JD from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate or commercial law, ideally with exposure to energy infrastructure or project development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while partnering closely with non-legal teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and business acumen.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts; experience in renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure preferred.
