Support the preparation of design documents, including design basis, reports, plans, and construction specifications.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
Participate in client meetings and occasional site visits to gather or deliver design data.
Prepare structural calculations and contribute to design drawing reviews from conceptual to detailed stages.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Review vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project specifications.
Perform basic structural modeling using software such as SAP2000, LPILE, SAFE, and MathCAD
Assist in structural design and analysis for transmission, distribution, and substation projects from conceptual to detailed design, including equipment support structures, footings, transmission towers and poles, control rooms, and indoor GIS switchgear buildings under the guidance of senior engineers
Respond to construction-related queries and assist with project documentation, including as-built drawings and calculations, and returning data to clients

Experience with structural design for utility substations, particularly projects for BC Hydro is considered an asset
Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, SAFE, LPILE) and willingness to learn advanced tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Structural Engineering Degree from a recognized university along with a Canadian Professional Engineer-in-Training (EIT)Designation or the ability to register as an Engineer-in-Training with EGBC
0–5 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in utility or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with Canadian codes and standards (CSA, OH&S)
