Senior Bridge Engineer

Description

• Prepare proposals and funding applications.
• Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line.
• Apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design.
• Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Missouri Structural team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with extensive structural engineering and project management experience working on DOT and/or local agency transportation design projects. We are seeking an experienced Structural/Bridge Engineer to spearhead our bridge design efforts in Missouri. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by growing and leading the structural engineering practice in the area. The position can be based in St. Louis, St. Charles, or Overland Park.

• Work on major projects or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
• 12+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
• Experience with project management and accounting software
• Exceptional organization skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team
