The role involves operating snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year‑round. Responsibilities also include labour‑er duties such as crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
Candidates must successfully complete pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing, be able to lift up to 50 lb and work in all weather conditions. A valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence with air endorsement and a clear three‑year driver’s abstract are required, and prior experience with snowplow trucks or wheel loaders is a strong asset.

Compensation starts at a base hourly rate of $26.50 to $31.00, with additional premiums of $8 per hour for winter maintenance and $14 per hour for Class 1 operators performing tow‑plow duties.
