Develop comprehensive account strategies incorporating oil and gas market cycles, commodity price volatility, and upstream/downstream investment patterns
Represent Wood Mackenzie at conferences and professional organizations to expand brand recognition and promote business development activities
Proactively manage commercial growth aligned with regional energy market priorities and commodity trading patterns
Provide continuous feedback on evolving client needs in oil and gas markets, including emerging trends in energy transition and commodity trading
Support launches of new products covering crude oil benchmarks, natural gas pricing, refining economics, and petrochemical markets
Effectively manage the business pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting
Identify high-potential clients for cross-selling opportunities across our oil, gas, LNG, and refined products research suite

Experience in client-facing or account management roles, with understanding of relationship management
Demonstrate strong understanding of how account management integrates with commodity research and market analysis functions
Effective client engagement and understanding of critical client business growth potential and how the Wood Mackenzie suite of products supports the client's growth
Good analytical/technical operational knowledge required to complete work in account management
Direct experience in oil and gas industry operations, commodity trading, or energy market fundamental analysis strongly preferred
Ability to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through application of acquired technical experience
Intellectually curious about how data and analysis can solve critical business challenges
Good knowledge and understanding of account management processes, procedures and systems within the energy/natural resources sector
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Direct knowledge and experience working in the Canadian energy industry an advantage
Strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous
Attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on analysis of factual information
Demonstrated success in developing oil and gas sector clients and building trusted advisor relationships around commodity market insights
