Tasks
The Senior Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing large and complex electrical construction projects from inception through completion. This leadership role involves managing project budgets, schedules, field teams, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery. The Senior Project Manager acts as a key liaison between the client, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Centre Electric Ltd.’s standards of excellence. -Prepare and manage all project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, progress reports, and close-out packages. -Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and consultants, maintaining clear communication and strong professional relationships. -Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and schedules to ensure profitability and timely completion. -Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects from design through turnover. -Manage procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material deliveries to maintain project momentum. -Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability across all project stakeholders. -Lead project meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions, decisions, and follow-up actions. -Support estimating and business development teams with tender reviews, design input, and value engineering. -Monitor work progress through regular site visits, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project scope. -Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with contract documents. -Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve challenges. -Occasional overtime or travel may be required to meet project milestones. -Direct and support project teams, including site supervisors, foremen, estimators, and field staff.

What You Bring
-Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). -Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. -Ability to mentor and develop junior project managers and field leaders. -Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction methodologies. -Advanced understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and construction standards. -Proven track record delivering commercial, institutional, or industrial electrical projects exceeding $1M in value. -Regular site visits to active construction locations. -Experience managing design-build, lump-sum, and service projects. -PMP certification, Gold Seal Certification, or equivalent credentials considered an asset. -Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. -Strong leadership and team-building abilities. -Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required. -Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, etc.). -Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects. -Financial acumen with experience managing cost controls and forecasting.
