What you would be doing
inventory management

Assist with general upkeep of labs and storerooms
Conduct regular inventory checks and implement corrective actions
Organise and tidy freezer storage, ensuring stock records are current
Coordinate routine shipments and deliveries
Manage laboratory coat collections and dry cleaning logistics
Support the management of multiple waste streams including clinical, chemical, and recyclable materials
Restock laboratory supplies and maintain dry ice stock
Provide general support to colleagues and liaise with facility management teams when required
Clean incubators according to schedule
Perform weekly system checks on flow cytometers
Regularly clear cardboard and plastics waste
Receive, check in, and track new stock and reagents
Maintain accurate stock levels of consumables and reagents
Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Laboratory Operations Manager
Aliquot reagents and manage sample handling as required
Assist engineers and contractors during maintenance visits
Support external IT contractors with checks and system updates

Strong IT skills with the ability to use spreadsheets effectively

Good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach

Minimum of five GCSEs (grade C/4 or above), including Combined Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
