Test engineer on-site during testing, responsible for operational decisions and investigations.
Development of test specifications for the rig with a range of subject matter experts from different teams. Identifying the testing, instrumentation and equipment needed to support verification. Ensuring traceability of the test evidence through from requirements and ultimately creating a test plan from these specifications.
Working with subject matter experts to identify and define the operational limits and safety parameters for the equipment.
Leadership: Technical leadership for technology verification program, including but not limited to coaching junior engineers, project management, stakeholder management, technical leadership.
Defining the requirements and managing the design of the rig control system(s), which is likely to include working with other teams to develop, as well as some aspects of software development and debugging.

Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent, higher degree preferred) with a background in aerospace electrical systems.
Experience in verification and validation of electrical systems, preferably in the aerospace sector.
Experience in writing technical documents such as test equipment requirements and specifications, verification and validation strategies, test specifications and technical standards.
Fundamental understand of electrical systems/electrical engineering and preferably experience in rig design and testing.
