BIM Lead

Description

• Manage and coordinate the overall deployment of project delivery within multidisciplinary Design Projects in alignment with the organization’s Way of Working and best practices.
• Maintain close liaison with the project management team and act as the point of contact for Digital Delivery.
• Ensure proper project scope delivery by monitoring project progress and team performance to deliver the project on time while maintaining cost and quality parameters to meet the Appointing Party’s objectives and requirements.
• Coordinate BIM issues with the supply chain to develop and reinforce standards with the goal of refining Models and deliverables.
• Support best practices in BIM environment Setup, Quality Assurance, BIM authoring and production, Virtual Design Coordination, BIM quality review, information management, and 4D/5D Support.
• Provide Quality Assurance by handling the Implementation and Administration of Building Information Management (BIM) systems and solutions per project and maintain close collaboration with the Disciplines BIM Leads.
• Support projects scope definition and risk management at the pre-award stage.
• Engage and lead management for BIM Delivery Coordinators.
• Lead the BIM scope negotiation with the various stakeholders, highlighting exclusions, risks, and best practices to support BEP approval.
• Implement the internal Responsibility matrix within each project and ensure proper adherence and maintenance by the wider project team.
• Ensure the implementation of openBIM standards such as (IFC or buildingSMART), and international standards such as (BS EN ISO 19650)
• Report to the Project Management team, Business Unit Leads, and Appointing Party representative in a structured manner. The minimum content should include, but not be limited to: BIM Issue Tracker, Audit Reports from BIM for Design Coordination, in-progress and completed results, and the status of model development according to trade, work breakdown structure identifier (phasing), cost categories, information delivery, and project close-out requirements.
• Assist in defining the Learning and Development requirements within the project supply chain.
• Identify and detect any potential opportunities/risks for the Project or the Team.
• Prepare the project BEP in line with the organization’s standards and ensure collaborative inputs from different stakeholders are well coordinated and embedded.
• Integrate leading-edge BIM applications including Scheduling, Cost, Asset Management, and O&M programs into the BIM models.
• Perform capability and competence assessments of the supply chain before appointment.
• Manage the project supply chain to deliver high-quality information, data, and models to the Appointing Party and ensure that the delivery of information within the supply chain complies with contract requirements.
• Configure, Maintain, and Administer the project CDE (Common Data Environment) to enable the effective management, tracking, and monitoring of deliverables.

Requirements

• Digital Transformation experiece is highly desirable.
• High sense of quality-driven deliverables.
• Line Management experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of BS 8536, ISO 19650 series and other international standards.
• High level of creativity and forward-thinking with an analytical mindset.
• Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
• Dynamo experience desired
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems.
• Experience in BIM Strategy implementation would be beneficial.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Mandatory proficiency and hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to drive innovation and provide solutions with a business-first mindset.
• Proficiency with Solibri, BIM Track, and Revizto would be advantageous.
• Mandatory proficiency with BIM360/ACC and knowledge of the ACONEX Environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or Architectural field.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in design.
• The ability to communcaite effectivelt and clearly i key for this position.
• Mandatory proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
• Proficiency with Dynamo scripting tools would be advantageous.
• Information Management and BIM-related certifications would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery in accordance with LOIN.
• Minimum of 10 years of broad AEC experience in multidisciplinary scope management on large-scale building projects.
