The Technical Proposal Writer supports Bird Construction’s Buildings East business by producing high‑quality, technically accurate content for institutional and ICI construction proposals, especially for public‑sector projects such as healthcare, justice, and post‑secondary facilities. The role works closely with proposal specialists, estimators, and construction leaders to translate expertise into clear, score‑aligned narratives.

Write and refine proposal narratives for RFPs, RFQs, and RFSQs, covering methodology, logistics, schedule, safety, quality, risk, sustainability, community benefits, and Indigenous engagement.
Gather technical input by collaborating directly with project managers, superintendents, estimators, and operations leaders.
Apply correct construction terminology and sequencing for institutional and ICI environments.
Ensure written content supports win themes, client priorities, delivery model requirements (DBB, DB, P3, progressive DB), and owner expectations.
Adapt standard content to reflect project‑specific risks, constraints, and differentiators.
Develop, update, and maintain technical proposal content in Bird’s proposal systems, CRM, and content libraries.
Contribute to continuous improvement of standard narratives, project descriptions, case studies, role descriptions, and resumes.
Keep content current, regionally relevant, and consistent with Bird standards.
Edit for clarity, tone, and compliance with RFP requirements.
Support Proposal Specialists during final reviews to maintain narrative consistency.
Incorporate feedback from debriefs and internal reviews into future content.
