Leasing Consultant

Description

The Leasing Consultant role focuses on leasing, marketing and maintaining positive resident relations for a property. The position requires daily onsite attendance, showing units, qualifying prospects, completing lease paperwork, and handling resident inquiries and retention activities.

• Show units, qualify prospects, conduct tours, and sign leases.
• Generate leads, schedule appointments, maintain model units, and follow up to close sales.
• Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in and assist with lease audits and turnover.
• Record prospect traffic accurately and respond to leads within 24 hours.
• Use sales and marketing strategies to boost traffic, improve closing ratios, and meet leasing targets.
• Perform administrative duties and resolve resident complaints and requests.
• Develop and execute resident retention programs such as events, promotions, and newsletters.
• Maintain cleanliness of office, common areas, and model units.
• Implement annual marketing plans and conduct ongoing market surveys and analysis.
• Stay knowledgeable of property features, competition and market conditions; produce weekly market reports.
• Deliver excellent customer service, monitor service request turnaround, and project a favorable community image.
• Enforce community policies as delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Require a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possess basic computer skills and ability to operate on‑site software.
• Understand Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, lift up to 25 lbs and work in varied physical environments.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and in extreme temperatures or outdoor conditions.

Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive total‑rewards package with medical, dental, vision, life, disability and accident insurance, 401(k) matching, commission and performance bonuses, paid sick days and company holidays.
