The Demand Planner is accountable for creating both short-term and long-term sales forecasts for finished goods and parts, using statistical models as a baseline and incorporating new business, promotions, market trends, and product launches. They work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and product management to collect data, drive forecasting accountability, and select appropriate metrics to detect issues. In addition, the role involves designing innovative analytical methods, proactively mitigating risks, configuring the demand-planning system, and implementing continuous improvements while ensuring forecast quality and mentoring junior team members.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, with a master's preferred, in a field such as Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration, and bring at least five years of supply-chain experience, including two years in demand planning. A deep understanding of statistical forecasting, demand-planning software (e.g., SAP/APO), and S&OP processes is required, alongside strong communication, presentation, and training abilities. The ideal applicant can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, demonstrates meticulous analytical and problem-solving skills, and is proficient in Microsoft Office.
This salaried, exempt position offers a base salary ranging from $83,200 to $109,200, subject to geography and experience, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
