The Account Executive must oversee all phases of the construction process and cultivate positive relationships with owners, partners, project teams, subcontractors, and vendors. They will champion leadership best practices, foster team culture, and drive continuous improvement across multiple markets.
Working with regional teams, the AE unites diverse perspectives to achieve successful project outcomes, communicating concise messages that guide decisions and commitments. They are expected to identify innovation opportunities, build relationships, and champion new ideas while demonstrating a proven record of sustainable account growth.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing relationships with client decision‑makers, presenting the firm’s full service portfolio, understanding long‑term real‑estate needs, leading presentations, negotiating contracts, and maintaining account data in Salesforce. The AE also leads the Strategic Account Team, conducts regular business reviews, creates an Account Playbook, integrates with project delivery teams, establishes margin strategies, implements reporting cycles, mitigates risks, attends milestone events, and cultivates a strong team culture.
Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking an Account Executive in New York. The ideal candidate will have roughly ten years of experience in the A/E/C industry, with deep knowledge of the CM/GC sector and strong business acumen and networking skills.
Qualifications require a minimum of about ten years in the A/E/C industry, experience managing matrix teams on complex projects, and an interior‑focus is highly desired. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required, with PMP or LEED certifications considered a plus. The candidate must excel in client relationship management, collaboration, communication, analytical thinking, and thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
