The role includes conducting building and system audits, performing energy analyses and savings calculations, preparing project reports, and participating in meetings with the project manager and clients. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
The Energy Solutions division, the fastest‑growing segment of CMTA, is hiring a Project Development Engineer for its federal‑market practice in Baltimore, MD and Media, PA. Candidates should be self‑motivated, enjoy helping clients, and possess a strong technical background. Engineers with HVAC design and commissioning experience can transition successfully into this energy‑engineer role.
Applicants should have 1–3+ years of experience with an energy services firm or a consulting engineering/commissioning practice, preferably serving the federal market. Familiarity with DOE or Army Corps of Engineers IDIQ contract requirements, building simulation, ECM spreadsheet modeling, and utility‑baseline calibration is essential. Knowledge of building Utility Management and Control Systems (UMCS) operation is also desired.
Key skill areas include management, construction, engineering design, energy and HVAC design, auditing, commissioning, measurement and verification, consulting, and mechanical engineering.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required. The company does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
