The Airside Safety Officer will be located in Dallas, Texas and will oversee the safety performance and development of assigned business units, projects and direct reports. Acting as a safety resource at the project, business unit and corporate levels, the role regularly assesses safety needs for airport and airside projects and contributes to the DFW‑DCC safety program and culture.
Key duties include managing staff workloads, conducting performance reviews, evaluating training needs, and mentoring teams on safety inspection processes. The officer will set inspection criteria, analyze hazard and incident data, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and lead OSHA or third‑party inspections, crisis response and investigations.

- Create and review Job Hazard Analyses for complex tasks.
- Support safety planning during pre‑construction phases.
- Conduct subcontractor safety pre‑construction meetings.
- Develop and update Site‑Specific Safety Plans.
- Audit project safety signage and recommend improvements.
- Conduct safety documentation audits and implement enhancements.
- Identify, select and procure special safety or protective equipment.
- Organize project‑wide safety stand‑downs with the team.
- Arrange targeted safety training to meet project needs.
- Serve as technical resource for the safety department and site operations.
- Evaluate inspection processes and suggest improvements.
- Design and deliver in‑house safety training programs.
- Determine corporate safety equipment needs and evaluate new products.
- Prepare monthly safety summaries for assigned construction projects.
- Act as primary point of contact for safety department processes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with project teams and subcontractors.
- Respond promptly to safety concerns from clients, tenants or the public.
- Collaborate with the corporate Risk Management team as required.
- Participate in professional safety and construction organization meetings.

Required qualifications are a BA/BS in safety or a related discipline with at least six years of relevant experience. Preferred credentials include CHST, CSP, First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10/30‑hour (OSHA 500 preferred), and eight or more years of construction safety experience, especially in airfield environments.
- BA/BS in safety or related field with ≥6 years experience.
- CHST, CSP, or equivalent professional safety designation (preferred).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- OSHA 10 & 30‑hour construction training; OSHA 500 preferred.
- ≥8 years construction safety experience; airfield experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple business‑unit needs and tasks.
- Proven analytical and research skills for problem solving.
- Capability to work independently and respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to work under varied environmental and site conditions.

This position does not provide sponsorship, is on‑site in Dallas (13355 Noel Road), and offers a compensation range of $90,000‑$155,000 annually.
