Certification from a technical school focused on Journeyman HVAC/Mechanical, preferred.
A score card that reflects performance in areas such as safety, efficiency, work order completion, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
Must have 5-7 years of HVAC mechanic experience; preferred commercial and/or industrial.
Should also have experience operating heavy equipment, as well as towing a trailer using a service truck.
May be required to pass additional requirements under the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Working knowledge of HVAC machines and tools, including the designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Ability to organize their own work and work independently, with limited supervision.
Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
Exercise high degree of time management skill, resulting in greater than 90% time billable to customers.
Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft TEAMS platforms.
Familiarity with the use of test equipment e.g., Digital Variable Multi (DVM), and refrigeration test equipment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and drug screen.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Possess a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong desire to deepen expertise in HVAC diagnostics, service, and responsibilities, taking on more complex challenges with each year of employment.
Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
Possess general knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Requires heavy travel, some evening, weekends and overnight travel.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
