Essential functions include delivering an incredible positive experience for every visitor, engaging in sales conversations, answering customer questions, and handling transactions at the register. The associate assists customers with purchases, lifts and carries items up to 50 lb, supports daily store operations, and helps meet sales targets. They also display merchandise to maximize sales, accept and process donations, and keep the store and warehouse organized and safe.
Successful candidates demonstrate a strong track record of excellent customer service, clear communication, and problem‑solving abilities. They are creative, energetic, self‑starting, and able to manage time effectively while adhering to safety protocols and HFHCAZ’s non‑discriminatory policies. Merchandising skills that enhance unit turns and shoppability are also required.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of retail or customer‑service experience preferred. Physical demands involve frequent bending, standing, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb, with occasional climbing, stooping, or team lifting. Vision requirements include close and color vision.
The work environment is a retail‑warehouse setting where temperatures range from hot, muggy summers to cool winters, necessitating layered clothing; casual but closed‑toe attire is required. Employees must use office equipment, social‑media platforms, and equipment such as forklifts, hand carts, and power tools, and possess reliable transportation for off‑site duties.
