In this role you will execute one or more payroll processes, develop an in‑depth understanding of payroll systems, processes, and legislative rules, and place emphasis on data integrity and analysis to support key HR decisions. You will also provide coverage and support as needed, identify and resolve operational issues, and support process improvement. The position promotes “Best in Class” service while developing effective relationships and working cross‑functionally with internal teams and suppliers.
You will be responsible for the quality delivery of multiple payroll processes and services to the business, managing payroll queries from employees, managers and HR professionals in a timely, professional manner. You will correctly administer payroll processes, manage service‑delivery metrics for outsourced payroll, and resolve issues that require solid knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Collaboration with senior team members is expected for issues outside defined policy, and you will serve as a key interface between customers and GE, explaining technical information as needed.
Proficiency in Portuguese, including strong speaking ability, is mandatory, and the position follows São Paulo time‑zone hours, beginning at 8:00 a.m. This is a remote role with no relocation assistance provided.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum four years in payroll, benefits, or a service‑oriented environment) and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data. Desired characteristics include experience in a matrix work environment, a passionate employee‑advocate mindset, and a high level of responsiveness and customer service. You should demonstrate solid judgment, maintain confidentiality, possess knowledge of local labor laws, and show a strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
