What you would be doing

Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Conduct employee training in equipment operations, work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers
Travel may be required
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production.
Scanning, indexing, sorting, and data entry of supplier invoices
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Enforce operating procedures and work standards that will ensure adequate performance
Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for employees
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production and performance goals.
Utilize basic computer skills to input daily production, labor, and equipment data
Train employees in proper maintenance and heavy equipment operation techniques.
Act as the site safety leader and ensure that all functions of employees and equipment are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with company and regulatory policies.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Keep records of employees’ attendance and hours worked
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production performance.
