The AM‑Receivable is responsible for managing and leading teams that deliver cash application processes, ensuring successful AR cash application, receipt and application of remittances, analysis of AR ageing, and maintenance of cash management systems and balance confirmation.
Key accountabilities span operations, governance, process improvement, and people management. Operational duties include ensuring efficiency in cash application, preparing unbilled debtor schedules, daily receipt accounting, security deposit accounting, and posting unearned revenue entries, while also resolving receivables issues and liaising with the commercial team for remittance information.
Governance responsibilities involve ensuring bank guarantee documents comply with legal formats, defining stronger control processes, conducting governance meetings, and maintaining accuracy and timeliness of query responses.
Process improvement tasks require identifying gaps in OTC processes, suggesting enhancements to the Revenue Manager, and logging change requests or initiatives generated by the team.
People management duties include participating in hiring, providing regular constructive feedback, and monitoring attrition and progression rates to maximize team talent.
The role interacts externally with airlines and concessionaires and internally with business users, SSC team members, and GMR IT to address exceptional scenarios and resolve escalations.
Educational requirements are a B.Com and MBA in Finance, with a minimum of six years' experience in accounts and commercial finance, including at least three years in a similar role.
Relevant experience includes strong knowledge of SAP ERP, comprehensive understanding of accounting systems, and expertise in AR collection and cash application processes.
