- Develop geometric layouts, 3D roadway models, and perform civil engineering calculations for DOT and regional projects.
- Design roadways, including pavement, walls, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare material quantity calculations and construction documentation.
- Create deliverables using MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, and Geopak.
- Collaborate with CAD designers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Oversee plan production and ensure quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with drainage, traffic, and structural teams to deliver integrated solutions.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in MicroStation and InRoads or Geopak; OpenRoads preferred; AutoCAD Civil 3D highly desirable.
- Minimum 8 years of roadway design experience, including geometric design and drainage layouts.
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts and Connecticut DOT policies and procedures.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license desirable; design‑build and state DOT experience a plus.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including macros and equations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
