Develop teaming opportunities with other professional service firms
Lead and/or team with other staff on the preparation and production of comprehensive plans, plan elements, studies, assessments, similar planning documents, and zoning ordinances, including public outreach, research, drafting, illustrating, mapping, and document layout and formatting
Organize, prepare for, and attend public outreach events and public meetings
Serve as project manager for public sector clients providing on call planning/zoning assistance and attending meetings as needed (which will include some evenings), as well as conducting project work (zoning ordinances, comprehensive plans, etc.) for those client communities
Mentor/Manage Junior Planning staff

Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to teach and coach younger planning staff to produce high-quality work in a collaborative environment
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience; private consulting experience is desirable, with a blend of public and private preferred.
Detailed understanding of relationship between comprehensive planning and implementation strategies and tools
Master’s degree in planning or related field and AICP certification are preferred.
Successful RFP response and proposal preparation track record
Experience with traditional and innovative public outreach practices, both in person and on-line
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative suite, plus GIS; familiarity with Sketch-Up is desirable.
Creative ability in both community design and policy development
