Operating within a Joint Venture framework for e2x, the Senior HSE advisor is accountable for the day-to-day coordination of site based HSE governance activities and construction team support to ensure that project maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel, in accordance with joint venture Health & Safety Management system and client specifications.

  • HSE analysis and reporting of JV lead and lag targets to Project Management.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Area HSE Activity Schedule.
  • Coach and mentor HSE Advisors.
  • HSSE Compliance Audits to (ASNZS 4801; ISO 14001; OHSAS 18001) standards.
  • Assist in identifying HSE training requirements
  • Communication of HSE issues / standards.
  • Provide advice and support to the construction management team to ensure compliance with statutory, joint venture and client HSE obligations.
  • Completion of audits and risk assessments.
  • Be part of Australia’s Big Build, contributing to a high-impact infrastructure project that will assist in elevating your career.
  • Implementation of Health & Safety (HSE) plans and subsidiary systems documentation.
  • Support the area HSE team and ensure they are properly resourced to meet the obligations of the HSE Activity Schedule.
  • Ensure HSE representation is maintained at key construction planning and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure all incident event investigations are properly conducted, recorded and information closed out in accordance with HSSE Management System timeframes.
  • Ensures deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Promote a dynamic and positive HSSE culture focused on achieving success.
  • Coordinate implementation of the HSE Activity Schedule and initiatives, including but not necessarily limited to: HSSE Compliance Audits to (ASNZS 4801; ISO 14001; OHSAS 18001) standards. Workplace Inspections Emergency Drills and Exercises.

  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
  • Problem solving, interpretation, reasoning, and judgement skills with an ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Interpretation and application of relevant HSE Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to build sound working relationships with clients and colleagues.
