The Information Manager will provide an accessible, efficient, and compliant information management consultancy service that supports innovation and maximises the use of AECOM’s and client processes. The role safeguards the client’s reputation by ensuring all teams meet statutory obligations, guidance and best practice for managing information.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining information management policies, standards and guidance; keeping up‑to‑date with relevant legislation and codes; leading and developing the information management team; allocating resources, assessing risks and aligning work with business requirements; and contributing to the information governance strategy for AECOM and its clients.
The manager will oversee the full lifecycle of records from creation to disposal or archiving, promote good practice through communications and training, produce reports for governance steering committees, and work with external stakeholders such as contractors and suppliers to improve information management.
A solid understanding of client business practices and the ability to devise solutions, create work plans and task definitions, and specialise within the discipline are expected, all under limited supervision.
We are looking for candidates with a suitable information professional qualification or equivalent experience at Practitioner level of the Government Knowledge & Information Management framework or ISO19650, and a minimum of three years’ experience in information management, particularly with EDMS/CDE platforms like Aconex.
The role requires strong verbal and written communication, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, knowledge of data protection and public records legislation, risk analysis skills, and the capacity to manage time, performance and people development while obtaining necessary security clearances.
AECOM offers hybrid work options, a safe and respectful workplace that values diversity and inclusion, and a comprehensive suite of compensation, benefits and well‑being programs to support employees and their families.
