D.R. Horton is currently seeking a Security Analyst to handle daily IT security tasks and routine processes. The role involves assessing security incidents, performing technical troubleshooting, and monitoring suspicious or malicious activity across the company's IT infrastructure.
Key duties include monitoring network traffic and alerts for signs of compromise, investigating network‑based incidents across firewalls, routers, switches, wireless and cloud environments, and supporting DDoS detection and mitigation. The analyst will maintain network security configurations such as ACLs, VLAN segmentation, VPN policies, and IPS/IDS signatures, and manage logs from tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, NetFlow analyzers, and EDR/XDR platforms. Email security monitoring, phishing detection, and content‑filtering platform management are also part of the role.
The analyst will partner with Networking and IT Operations to troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, and routing issues, maintain DNS security hygiene, and work with load‑balancing/DNS traffic‑management technologies. Supporting Active Directory and ADFS from a security perspective, including authentication flows, privileged access, and hardening standards, is required.
Responsibilities include analyzing security advisories, CVEs, and vendor bulletins for network components, validating patch deployment, and coordinating with SCCM and infrastructure teams. The analyst will perform network‑centric forensic investigations, conduct packet captures, log correlation, threat hunting, and document incident findings to recommend containment or mitigation.
The role contributes to network‑security projects, deployments, and upgrades, providing subject‑matter input on firewall changes and secure architecture designs. Participation in a weekly on‑call rotation, mentoring junior staff, supporting IT operational emergencies, and occasional overnight travel are required.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 1–4 years of IT or network security experience, with knowledge of network architectures, protocols, DNS, Active Directory, and security monitoring platforms. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or a related field, experience with enterprise firewalls, VPNs, DDoS concepts, and strong attention to detail.
