Supervise and lead geotechnical support during construction of geotechnical elements, including shallow and deep foundations, grading, utility trenching, and other earthwork operations.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and governmental personnel, ensuring that all geotechnical concerns are addressed comprehensively.
Direct and supervise subsurface explorations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical data interpretation to ensure a high-quality, timely, and within-budget delivery of the projects.
Perform geotechnical design, investigation, and analysis for buildings and infrastructure projects, including residential/commercial buildings, bridges, highways, railways, airports, pipelines, and levees/basins.
Effectively manage projects, resources, and staff while providing expert technical guidance in geotechnical engineering across diverse projects — in both public and private sectors — and ensure strict adherence to applicable guidelines.
Perform geotechnical design and analysis for shallow and deep foundations, earthworks recommendations, slope stability and seepage analyses, lateral earth pressure calculations, and other pertinent analyses in support of a wide range of projects in public and private sectors.

A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering suffices; a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
The successful candidate will have a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Kentucky or Indiana.
Experience in construction oversight for foundation and pavement construction and earthwork observation.
5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering practice with an emphasis on geotechnical design and analysis, geotechnical field investigation, and construction supervision.
Familiarity with AASHTO standards, guidelines, and deliverables.
Experience with geotechnical engineering software; SlopeW, GeoStudio.
Demonstrated ability to lead small to medium-scale geotechnical projects and manage field geologists and engineers.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Geotechnical background including fundamental knowledge of principles of geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrology.
Must be able to pass a background check for clearance to work on various private and government facilities.
Local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice.
