Warehouse Associate

Description

The Warehouse Associate 1 coordinates warehouse activities and operations under the direction of a Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager. The role involves managing inventory, scheduling product movement, implementing daily production and shipping plans, and ensuring accurate documentation. The associate also supports forklift operations and assists with handling, repacking, or restacking pallets as needed.

• Manage and maintain warehouse inventory database.
• Coordinate product movement, storage, and shipment within the warehouse.
• Implement daily production and shipping plans, including excess stock storage.
• Adjust storage space assignments to manage flow of finished products.
• Verify item availability for shipment by checking inventory records or conducting counts.
• Identify slow‑moving products and arrange approved removal.
• Direct forklift drivers for proper goods placement.
• Manually handle, repack, or restack pallets as needed.
• Operate forklift truck when required.
• Document activities and complete related forms and reports.
• Maintain excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Learn and apply company product codes and terminology quickly.
• Follow warehouse policies and procedures thoroughly.
• Apply analytical skills to make sound inventory judgments.
• Lift up to 15 lb and move safely around the warehouse.
• Participate in a 401(k) plan with immediate employer matching.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid state forklift operator’s license.
• Have at least two years of warehouse experience.
