The Role
Overview
Design, deploy, and maintain on‑prem and cloud IT infrastructure, ensuring security.

Tasks
-May occasionally work in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels and hazardous Chemicals. -Maintain detailed records of system configurations, changes, and infrastructure documentation. -May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions. -Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtualized server environments (Windows, Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox). -Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis. -Evaluate, select, and negotiate with vendors for hardware, software, and service acquisitions. -Ensure all technology purchases meet lifecycle management, compliance, and security requirements. -Manage identities and access through Active Directory and Entra ID. -Conduct periodic risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and participate in incident response efforts. -May work outdoors on uneven surfaces. -Configure and maintain enterprise network equipment, including firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure. -Implement, monitor, and continuously improve security controls aligned with CIS and NIST frameworks. -Manage endpoint and network security, ensuring protection against evolving threats. -Oversee software licensing renewals, enterprise agreements, and support contracts. -Oversee backups, patch management, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and endpoint management to ensure uptime and resilience. -Maintain documentation to support internal audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments. -Monitor network and system performance; proactively address performance bottlenecks and potential risks. -Design, manage, and optimize LAN/WAN, VPN, and SD-WAN deployments. -Support the creation and enforcement of IT standards, policies, and procedures. -Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure organizational resilience. -Collaborate with leadership to align technology procurements with budgets and business priorities. -Implement network segmentation and firewall policies aligned with Zero Trust principles.

What You Bring
-Works in the Santa Fe Springs office 95% of the time. -Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox) and Windows/Linux server environments. -5+ years of systems and network administration experience -Proven experience in infrastructure, systems, or network engineering within enterprise environments. -Firsthand experience managing identity, access, and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID). -BS degree in Computer Science or a computer related field from an accredited college or university is desired, but not mandatory. -Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. -VMware Certification, CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft 365 Certifications, Palo Alto Network Security Professional, and Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall Engineer certifications are desired, but not mandatory. -Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term solutions. -In-depth understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls. -May be required to stoop, bend, and crouch. -May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. -Ability to lift 50 pounds. -Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST).
