Qualifications include proficiency with electronic communications and Microsoft Office, exceptional oral and written communication, and strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Required education is a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC‑accredited program; a Master’s in Civil Engineering is preferred. Candidates must have 15+ years of experience, at least 5 years as a program manager, established railroad client relationships, business development ability, and in‑depth knowledge of industry standards.
Additional requirements are a Professional Engineer (PE) license or CLPO authorization and membership in professional organizations. Supervisory duties involve overseeing multiple organizational segments, recommending resources, managing technical, legal, and financial aspects of programs, and developing standards and guidelines.
